There was a time, there was a man
Built his house upon the sand
He wanted a view of the sun on the bay
But the tide came in and washed it away

And he's looking for a new foundation
He claims it's a form of liberation
That's what he'll say
But he's running away... from terra firma

There was a girl, her life was harsh
She built her castle in the marsh
She said she wanted a softer place
But the castle fell and left mud on her face

How can you stand on the shifting sand?
How can you walk away from solid land?
