The Bottom of the Drawer

I took a big fall, so this is where I landed
In a place so strange, no wonder I feel so stranded
Coming down was hard, going up was slow and easy
Now I find myself with too much time, to wonder where it will leave me

Is the answer at the bottom of the drawer?
Oh, you know I'm thinking, God, there must be more
Is the answer at the bottom of the drawer?
Pandora's Box or treasure store?
Do I have the courage... to open the door?

Now my dreams seem more real, than the world that I can feel
I sleep to escape, I'm disappointed when I wake
I know the ceiling well, I stare there to avoid thinking
I'm afraid that if I lower my eyes, my heart will be sinking

If I say your name out loud
Will you hear me where you are?
